Thawr Mountain

Mount Thawr is a mountain located in the south of Makkah Al-Mukarramah, with a height of 728 meters and a length of 4123 meters from north to south and a width of 4000 meters from east to west. It holds great historical significance, as it is the place where the Prophet sought refuge for three nights during his migration to Medina.

During the Hajj season, pilgrims visit Mount Thawr, which is located 4 km south of the Grand Mosque, between the plain of Wadi al-Mafjar to the east and Batha Quraish to the west. Mount Thawr has a round base and ten pointed mountain peaks that rise from its circular base.

Mount Thawr is a revered site of historical and spiritual significance for Muslims. It is a testament to the faith and devotion of the Prophet and his companions during a difficult and trying time in Islamic history. The mountain serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by the early Muslims and their unwavering commitment to their faith.
